Dear Friends & Fellow Workers,

It has been 3 months now since the destructive cyclone Pam ripped through Vanuatu. Several of you have asked if we would be going to help the people there. We are excited to report that we are leaving for Vanuatu on June 23rd and will be staying for 1 month. Our friends and contacts in Vanuatu have told us that many buildings and belongings are gone,
including Bibles.
Here is an excerpt from one email we received: “…I want to thank you for your prayers… Houses are down… You remember the big village where I live – only 4 houses standing. Tabakoro where we showed the film at night beside the football field – only 1 house standing. Roofing materials – hardly can find – all gone. Bibles destroyed along with Bislama
hymn books. Belongings in open spaces – rain washed them…”
At this time we invite you to join our efforts by supporting this mission to Vanuatu. We will have access to donations that arrive after we leave Canada. 100% of your gifts will go to purchase building materials, food and Bibles. We will also encourage the people with the ‘Jesus’ film which reminds them of their eternal home and that God loves them.

You will receive another update after our return explaining what was accomplished with photos on the websites. When you partner with us, great things can be done in the name of our Lord and we especially ask for your prayers for the people of Vanuatu and for us as we go to help them. We are also grateful to those who have already given for this mission.

May God richly bless you all,
Dave & Abby Dever
